erally is mounted centrifugal pump installed in tank. The inlet pressure of fuel dispenser with submersible pump is higher than atmospheric pressure. Submersible pump consists of pump, connecting pipeline and controller. The appearance of submersible pump and its position in tank is showed in diagram 2-10. Diagram 2-10: Submersible pump position and figure Submersible pump is composed of motor and centrifugal pump. Pump motor includes electromotor, wiring panel, overheat protector and pipeline; centrifugal pump has the elements of filter, anti-static subassembly, impeller and pump axis. Diagram 2-11: Main structure of submersible pump Connecting pipeline has two types of fixed and stretched. The former type consists of oil pipe, vapor-recovery pipe, lead pipe and wire. The later type is formed by oil pipe, vapor-recovery pipe, adjusting nut, fuel dispenser lead pipe and motor wire. Controller is divided as two parts, upper and lower. Upper part have these components junction box, electric bridge, capacitor, exhausting plug, check valve, pressure adjustor, testing interface of exhaustion and pressure, leakage monitor of pipe. However, lower part is constituted by pipe jointer, lead terminals, pump holder, etc. By function, submersible pump is classified as four categories, namely, standard type, enhanced type, changing-frequency type and large flow type. The standard type access to general requirements, but the enhanced type not only increase flux than standard type, but also available to mix liquid of gasoline with alcohol. The changing- frequency submersible pump adopt pipe pressure to judge flux. Given a situation in inefficient flux and low pressure the electric frequency of motor would tune high through computer, so as to elevate rotate speed and increase flux. Contrarily, to reduce electric frequency and rotate speed as pipe pressure being low, adjusting appropriate flowage. The large flow type is adapted in filing station in where needs quickly operation. Some submers fuel dispenser ible pump has the flow speed of more fuel dispenser

be combined with payment under customer choice (how much with point? how much with money?) or with a fixed ratio; two alternatives are possible: The EPS application has to manage the payment together with the redemption: both are successful or both fail. This is applicable when card payment is involved; it is less intuitive when cash payment is performed. The EPS application performs only the redemption and the POS manages the split of the tender inclusive of the result of the redemption (that will contain the amount still to be paid). In this scenario in case of payment failure the POS will have to send a reversal for the redemption. 3.11 Part A - use case: (loyalty) card balance inquiry Brief Description Customer selects one or more items from the loyalty catalogue purchases them using points and fuel dispenser meybe some moneycard payment. The cashier manages the redemptionpurchase the loyalty card is read and the redemption process is performed. Pre-Conditions The customer wants to redeem points from his loyalty card paying the rest with payment card. The merchant has the appropriate rights to offer giftsproducts for points redemption on loyalty card and the site systems are correctly set to perform the redemption. The EPS is enabled for transactions handling in a status openstand by for new transaction. The POS is open in a shift cashier operated. In March 2002 Ted Scambos, a scientist from the University of Colorado, was examining images from NASA s Modis satellite and noticed something odd going on at the Larsen B ice shelf (a floating extension of a glacier) on the Antarctic Peninsula in the west of the continent. He alerted the British Antarctic Survey in Cambridge, which sent a ship over to have a look. Meanwhile, an Argentine glaciologist based in Antarctica, Pedro Skvarca, took an aeroplane over the shelf. That is how pictures of the first recorded collapse of a big Antarctic ice shelf were obtained. Most of the ice in the Arctic is sea ice, so when it melts the sea level doesn t change much. Ice in Greenland and Antarctica, by contrast, is mostly on land. Greenland s ice sheet is up to 3km (1.9 miles) thick; Antarctica s 4.2km. If all of Greenland s ice were to melt, sea levels fuel dispenser would rise by around 7 metres; if West Antarctica s were to go, that would add another 6 metres; and if East Antarctica s ice melted—which nobody thinks likely for the foreseeable future—sea levels would go up by a devastating further 70 metres. Even a 1-metre rise would flood 17% of Bangladesh s land mass and cause serious problems for coastal cities such as London and New York. The sea level has varied sharply during the Earth s history. At the peak of the most recent ice age, around 18,000 years ago, it was 130 metres lower than it is now; but through most of the planet s history it has been much higher. Over the past 100 years, it seems to have risen, on average, by about 10-20cm, but measuring that accurately has proved surprisingly hard. The sea is not like a bath. If you pour water in at one end, it does not necessarily spread itself evenly. Sea levels are currently falling in the northern Pacific, the north-west Indian Ocean and near Antarctica; they are rising over most of the tropics and subtropics. That is because some seas are warming (and hence expanding) and some cooling (and hence contracting), a fuel dispenser nd because the wind shifts water fuel dispenser
